Everyone probably knows that a Dog Bite can result in a legal claims for compensation in Pennsylvania. However, many people probably do not know that other Dog Attacks that do not involve a bite could also result in viable legal claims. In addition, most people probably do not know that the Homeowner’s Insurance for the dog owner often provides coverage for dog bites.

I have had other cases where a dog was not properly confined, restrained or leashed and jumped on my client knocked her over and caused serious injuries. Many people might think that the compensation for a Dog Bite or Dog Attack must come from the personal assets of the Dog Owner. However, fortunately Homeowner’s Insurance will often cover Dog Bites or Dog Attacks that occur on or off of your property.
However, sometimes insurance policies will have Dog Bite or Dog Breed exclusions so be sure to read your policy carefully. If you own a dog, you should be sure to get appropriate Dog Bite insurance because they can result in significant claims.
