Today’s way is by hiding subsequent accidents or injuries. If you’ve been injured in an accident and have made a legal claim for injuries, and after that you’re involved in another accident or suffer an injury to the part of the body that you’re claiming was injured in your accident, you need a let your attorney know that. The insurance company or the defense attorney also need to be informed of that. If you don’t make those types of disclosures and it comes out during the course of the case that you had a subsequent accident or a subsequent injury to the same part of your body that you didn’t disclose, it can be devastating to your case. It can hurt your case or even kill it, so you need to be up front with your attorney about any subsequent accidents or about any subsequent injuries.
