Hi, my name is Tim Rayne, and I’m a Pennsylvania personal injury attorney. Today’s legal tip is part of a continuing series, Ten Ways to Hurt Or Kill Your Pennsylvania Personal Injury Case.
Today’s way is by exaggerating your injuries or the effect of the injuries on your life. If you exaggerate the extent of your injuries or the effect of the injuries on your life, it can hurt or kill your case. Here’s why.
The insurance company or the defense attorney has the ability to investigate your case. They can interview witnesses. They can hire a private investigator to conduct surveillance on you. They can do all sorts of things to investigate your life, your activities, and your injuries. That being the case, if during the case you exaggerate or misrepresent the extent of your injuries or the impact on your life and the insurance company catches you, it can hurt or kill your case.
You need to be honest about your injuries. You need to be honest about the way that they impact your life, and if you’re not, it can negatively impact or kill your case.
That’s our legal tip for the day. Again, my name is Tim Rayne. I’m a Pennsylvania personal injury attorney. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I can be reached by either phone or email. Also, please understand that unless you retain me to represent you, I’m not your attorney. Thank you.
